Word must travel fast. Franklin County health officials say people started lining up at 4:00pm Thursday for shots that were supposed to be given at 5:30.
Officials say the impact to traffic was so bad they had to start handing out shots early.
Once things got rolling however, it appear to run smoothly. There were six nurse station and each nurse anticipated handing out 250 shots a piece.
Anyone who made it to the line before the cut off time of 7:30 were supposed to receive one as long as the vaccine was still available.
The Health Department also plans to hand out free H1N1 vaccines in a similar fashion once they become available.
