Amber Alert ends for 13-year-old missing from Daviess County

Haley Willett was reported abducted from Owensboro in Daviess County at about 4:30 a.m. She was last seen on Julia Avenue in Owensboro and was believed to be in danger.
Police announced Sunday that Haley was found in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., but they did not elaborate. A vehicle in which she was traveling was seen heading northbound on Interstate 43 in Sheboygan, Wis., sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said they had received information that the two may have been traveling to Hancock, Maine, New York or an unknown location in Florida.
Authorities said Haley received a text message from a man identified as Archie Whalen, 43. It was not immediately known whether the two knew each other previously.
Whalen was taken into police custody. The two were said to be traveling in a red Ford Explorer registered with Maine license plates 137RF. The sport utility vehicle has scratches down both sides.
