Mother Charged In Infant's Death Enters Not Guilty Plea

24-year-old Courtney Bishop, from Lexington, charged with the murder of her infant has pled not guilty.

Bishop is being held on a 50-thousand dollar cash bond.

An autopsy determined that one-month-old Caleb Bishop died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Lexington police report that Courtney Bishop is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center after turning herself in yesterday afternoon. She has worked for three years as a music teacher at Christ the King School in Lexington.

He was hospitalized February 21st and died of his injuries Sunday.

Christ the King released a statement expressing its condolences for Caleb's death and pledging to help with the investigation.
