Richmond Police Increasing Patrols After Rash of Burglaries

Richmond Police are increasing daytime patrols around several neighborhoods, after a rash of home burglaries.

Many of them have been in the Barnes Mill Road, Four Mile Road, and Highland Park areas.

Police say the burglaries all follow a similar pattern. The suspect goes up to the front door, knocks, and if no one answers, he or she breaks in to the home through the back.

The suspect typically carries away the stolen loot in a pillowcase. Police say he or she is also targeting the city's upscale neighborhoods.
Richmond Police are now asking for the public's help. They're offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who has information.

If you have a tip, you're asked to call Richmond Police at 859-623-8911.
