State Police assign detective to investigate explosions in Franklin County

After several complaints of explosions, loud noises, and suspicious activity around a new pipeline project, State Police investigate to see if someone is trying to sabotage it.

Last night at least three more complaints came into State police and Franklin County Emergency Management.

What they have in common is they all have to do with suspicious activity, explosions, or loud noises.

Where they differ is the location of the complaints. Some coming from neighborhoods not necessarily near the pipeline others on the other side of the county, still it's enough to get police's attention.

The calls started about a week and a half ago, police say. One report is an orange construction barrel at the pipeline sight was blown up.

Crews say the work will continue they will just keep an extra eye out for suspicious activity.
