Stanford votes 'NO' for alcohol sales

Voters in one city overwhelmingly decide to keep alcohol sales, out of their community.

In a special election Tuesday night, in Lincoln County, Stanford voters were asked 'if' they wanted to allow alcohol sales in the city's stores and restaurants.

499 people voted 'no', while 344 voted 'yes.'

Those in favor of going wet argued alcohol would have brought more money to Stanford.
