Drivers in Kentucky will soon get a reminder of the people who have been killed on the states roadways.
The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has begun posting highway fatality totals on more than 50 electronic message boards on interstates and parkways.
One of them on I-75 South.
Major construction projects and emergency messages such as road closures and Amber Alerts will take priority.
The messages first began appearing today.
As of October 6th, the statewide total for the year was 599 deaths, two more than the total on the same date in 2008.
