The concern over H1N1 continues to grow. The virus has been especially tough for children.

The Fayette County School District recently released letters to parents urging them to keep sick children home. The letter assures families that school leaders are prepared to be flexible with make-up work and assignments.

"We're going to be prepared for a bad winter, I believe with the regular flu and the swine flu, and so it's better to be safe than sorry," says

School district representatives say attendance stayed above 90 percent. Schools are still monitoring attendance three times a day, as well as cleaning and sanitizing classrooms multiple times a day.
