The NCAA Selection Committee unveiled the field for the 2007 NCAA Tournament Sunday evening. The Kentucky Wildcats are the 8th seed in the West Region. They play 9th seeded Villanova Friday at the United Center in Chicago.
UK fans can get tickets from the United Center by calling (312) 455-4667. You can also get a ticket application online at www.unitedcenter.com. Ticket packages are $225 for all games. You'll also have to pay an $11 service charge and $3 "Good of the Game" fee.
Fans can also contact Champion Sports Tours for travel package information. The company is putting together a fan package this morning. UK students get a chance Monday afternoon to buy their ticket to the Chicago games. The student lottery is Monday at 5:00pm at the UK Ticket Office. Students will be charged $76 per ticket. Unclaimed student tickets will go on sale to the public Tuesday morning at 9am. Contact the UK Ticket Office at 859-257-1818.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels are the 16th seed in the East Region. They will play top seeded North Carolina Thursday, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Louisville will play Stanford, here in Lexington at Rupp Arena on Thursday.
