Crooks using fears about H1N1, to take advantage of people

Crooks are using fears about H1N1, to take advantage of people.

The Kentucky Pharmacists Association is urging people to be on the lookout for scam artists selling so-called H1N1 treatments on the internet.

More web sites are popping up every day selling flu protection, and some people are in such a panic over the H1N1 virus, they're willing to try anything.

Most pharmacies sell surgical grade masks, but web sites now are peddling masks they say can trap and kill 99 and 99/100ths per cent of swine flu viruses.

Liquid Tamiflu has been in short supply of late, and some web sites are selling Tamiflu pills that don't actually contain that medicine.

Before buying any medicine on the Internet, talk with your local pharmacist.
