Money meant for charity stolen

A thief gets away with money meant for charity. It happened last night after a break-in at a home on Charwood Drive in Lexington. An organizer for Buddy Walk, a charity for the Down Syndrome Association of Kentucky, lives at the home and hadn't had a chance to deposit some donations. Charity organizers say about $3,000 in cash and checks were stolen. Two laptops and a television were also taken from the home. Most of the donations had been collected by an adult with down syndrome. Neighbors think another home on the block was also burglarized last night. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
