Animal Cruelty Case Settled

Video will be available shortly

A Jessamine County woman accused of abandoning animals at her pet store pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Mae Devers had been facing more than 90 counts of animal cruelty, but in exchange for her plea prosecutors amended those charges to one count.

Officials say Devers left animals at her store for days without water, heat, and food.
Several of them died.

Devers was sentenced to seven days in jail. She must also pay a 500 dollar fine and can no longer own any animals.
