School district disinfecting due to illness

Berea community schools are closing for the week because so many students are sick.

Victor Puente reports.

At 10:00 AM today, Berea School officials knew they had to do something.

At that point in the day more than 20 percent of their students were absent with more going home every hour.

Berea Independent is the latest in a list of schools that have had to close because of H1N1.

They hope that the week away from school will give sick kids a chance to get better and prevent healthy ones from catching the illness.
