Police warn people wanting to warm up their vehicles: Thieves are watching

Police want you to think twice before leaving your car unattended while it warms up in the morning.

Over the last week, Lexington police have received numerous calls about cars being stolen out of people's driveways.

Since unseasonably cold weather arrived, people left their cars to warm up while they went back inside.

Police say that leaves thieves a warm car ready for the taking.

They urge drivers to not leave their cars unattended to avoid making them a target for thieves.
