A Central Kentucky couple, already in jail for abusing a 10 year old girl, now face a more serious charge.
Police charged Patrick and Joy Watkins with murder Wednesday afternoon.
Michaela Watkins, Patrick's daughter, died Sunday at her Winchester home.
He says the girl fell in the bathtub Saturday night, hitting her head while receiving burns on her body.
Patrick Watkins says he and his wife, Joy, quickly tended to the burns, but says Michaela then fell down the stairs after getting out of the bathtub.
The next day, he says they all went to Red River Gorge, where Michaela started having problems.
The three then returned home, where 45 minutes later, Patrick Watkins says he found Michaela dead in her bed.
The Clark County Coroner has not yet released the autopsy report.
Visitation for Michaela Watkins will be held Friday evening at the Franklin Avenue Church of God in Winchester. A private funeral will be held for the family.
Michaela will be buried at Clairmont Memorial Gardens.
