Video will be available shortly

A fun-filled weekend ahead in downtown Lexington.
Not only is the NCAA Tournament in town, but there are also several Saint Patrick's Day activities.
That means there could be near gridlock conditions in the downtown area.

Several downtown streets will be closed at 8:30 a.m. for the Shamrock Shuffle, a 3K run sponsored by the Pat Smith Habitat for Humanity Endowment.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 1:00.
The parade will block Midland Avenue, Main between Midland and Broadway, Short Street from Broadway to Mill and all intersecting streets from 11:30 am until 2:30pm - and Upper Street between Main and Vine from 12:30 until 7 pm.

The NCAA Tournament is also going on Saturday at Rupp.

City officials expect pedestrian traffic to also be heavier than normal.
