PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - Two western Kentucky companies are planning expansions that will create a total of 130 new jobs. Both companies are tied to the commercial traffic that flows up and down the Ohio River.

Paducah-based James Marine will create a new company in Calvert City that will manufacture specialty tank and deck barges. The company also plans a new facility in Paducah for another subsidiary that manufactures tugboats and towboats.

The other company, Crounse Corporation, plans to build a new headquarters in downtown Paducah. The company operates 900 barges and 27 towboats.

State incentives for the projects were approved yesterday by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
