Water In Lexington Creek Turns Black

Updated: Sat 9:54 AM, Mar 17, 2007

Local and state environmental investigators are looking into what caused water in a Lexington Creek to turn black. A land owner noticed the discoloration in the creek on Muir Station Rd. Officials say the dark colored water stretches almost to the Clark County line. Investigators say someone dumping mulch into the water likely turned it black. They say animals will probaly not be hurt by drinking from it, but the water could be harmful to fish.
