Video will be available shortly

Thick fog Wednesday morning led to an accident that left a man trapped inside his car for hours where no one could see him.

Emergency workers in Knox County used the jaws of life to rescue 80-year-old Henry Sizemore from his over-turned van. Police say Sizemore had been stranded down a thirty-foot embankment for three-and-a-half hours before he was discovered. Police say nobody could see his stranded van because of the thick fog.

Police Say Sizemore was headed home on Route 830 about three Wednesday morning when another car forced him off the road, sending him flying down the embankment.

Police say Sizemore was cold and had back and neck injuries when they found him. He was taken to the hospital.

Neighbors say crashes along that stretch of road aren't uncommon. Neighbors say they'll continue to fight for a guard rail to try and avoid another terrible accident.
