Madison Co. sets up H1N1 vaccine clinics at schools

RICHMOND – The Madison County Health Department announced the dates scheduled for the vaccination clinics to be conducted in Madison County Schools. The H1N1 vaccine will be provided free of charge by the Health Department to any student who has parental consent.

Clinics will be conducted in the school media centers throughout the instructional day according to the Health Department’s schedule. Packets including the consent forms were sent home with students the week of October 19. Any parent who wishes to have their child vaccinated must sign and return a consent form to their child’s school.

A record of the vaccination and care instructions for after the vaccination will be sent home with each child after the vaccination. The Health Department is only offering the vaccination by injection only at the school clinics.

The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30, will be vaccination days for students in ALL buildings that have chronic medical conditions.
