Body Of Missing Boater Found In Lake

Laurel County Emergency Management officials tell us the body of 42-year-old Frank Harris was found less than 100 feet from where he originally fell in the water.

Crews used underwater cameras to help locate the body. He was found just after 11:00, Monday morning. A diver was sent into the water to recover the body.

The coroner says Frank Harris died from a broken neck, which means he died instantly.

Officials say four people were riding in the boat on the Wood Creek lake when they hit a tree.

15-year-old Tiffany Harris and her father, Frank Harris, were thrown out. Tiffany was air lifted to UK Hospital with multiple injuries. She's now listed in fair condition.

17-year-old Kelly Harris was also taken to the hospital for a gash on her head. She was treated and released from a local hospital.

Another boater suffered minor injuries.
