Cattle Coming To Town Angers Many

Video will be available shortly

A vote by city leaders in a central Kentucky town may pave the way for a new controversial business to come to town.

Midway city leaders met Monday night to pass a zoning ordinance that would allow Blue Grass Stockyards to relocate to their community.

Blue Grass Stockyards has been located in Lexington for years, but the cattle auction's leader want to move to a Woodford County industrial park.

Many people say they were against the move because they were concerned about then environmental impact of such a move. Some people were also concerned that the stockyards would be out of character for a community known for its charm and rolling fields of horse farms.

We'll have the latest on the vote, coming up on 27 NEWSFIRST at 11:00.
