High Gas Prices Have Some Reconsidering Summer Travel Plans

Print

The travel season is upon us, and according to AAA, the demand for gasoline is high.
In Kentucky, the average price for a gallon is $2.62, still seven cents lower than the national average. But that's still 20 cents higher than just a month ago.
To compensate for the higher prices, AAA suggests choosing a destination closer to home, or a day trip.
Some people are looking for other ways to get around, such as riding a bike or walking.
AAA also says you should shop around to try to find the best gas price. They say you should be aware of both the state and national averages, and never buy gas above that price.
