The coroner says 32 year old James Champkara died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Firefighters found him near an exit of his apartment building on Surfside Drive, after a fire broke out there last Saturday.

Three others were treated for smoke inhalation, while a fourth suffered a broken leg after she jumped from her second story window.

Arson investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire, saying it looks suspicious.
