Businessman under investigation for allegedly stealing from church

A well-known Kentucky businessman is under investigation, accused of stealing from a church.

Delbert Ault is charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by deception.

Police say he pulled off his crimes, while working at the Centenary United Methodist Church of Lexington.

Lexington authorities say Ault drove buses for the church, and is accused of stealing hundreds of dollars while he was working.

He was arrested in September for using church credit cards to make purchases at area Speedways.

He admitted to stealing the money, according to police, but never paid it back.

The church has no comment on the incident, but says Ault is still a member of the church community.
