Lexington police have found a missing woman safe tonight, hours after a Golden Alert was issued. 69-year-old Mary Elizabeth Harbert was found around 10 p.m. at Leestown Rd. and Opportunity Way in Lexington.
Police issued the Golden Alert this afternoon after a family member came to her home on Dunkirk Drive to get her for a dentist's appointment and couldn't find her. She suffers from a mental condition family members were worried she could be lost and wandering around the Lexington area.
The nine-hour search had police and fire officials searching by air, ground, and even door-to-door. A law enforcement officials finally spotted Harbert along Leestown Road. She was cold and a little confused, but authorities say she will be just fine.

Why do people continue to let loved ones live by themselves if they get "confused" and/or have mental problems? Anyway, glad she was found safe.
Looks to me like the Lexington Fire Dept. found the missing woman safe....
