A man, convicted of killing a six-year old boy, will officially learn his sentence in January.
This morning a judge set a January 14th formal sentencing for Lewis 'Buck' Ballard.
A jury found Ballard guilty of murdering and sodomizing wesley mullins back in 2007, at the Bourbon County home of the boy's grandfather.
Ballard's trial was moved to Woodford County in order to find an impartial jury.
His sentencing will be in Bourbon County.
