LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Shortly after the federal government said the nation has less gas in storage than market analysts were expecting, the price of fuel began rising in Kentucky.
Yesterday at some outlets in the Louisville-area, gasoline prices rose as high as two-dollars-90 cents a gallon.
The weekly report from the U-S Energy Information Administration showed total U-S gasoline inventories sank by five-and-a-half (m) million barrels last week to 199-point-seven (m) million barrels. The expectations were for a one-point-three (m) million barrel decline.
While the two-dollars, 90-cents a gallon was being seen frequently, several outlets were holding the line at two-dollars, 80 cents or lower.
