10 Kentucky nursing homes have been listed among the worst in the country.
The Governmental Accountability office compiled the list of nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities it deemed as poor performers.
Kentucky has ten, neighboring state Tennessee has 14, Indiana has 52. The GAO's report is compiled each year to give citizens a way to rate and understand the quality of care being provided at nursing homes.
Below are the 10 listed by the GAO as poor performers.

Harborside Healthcare-Florence Rehab& Nursing Center
Pembroke Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Cambridge Place

Haborside Healthcare-Ownensboro Rehab & Nursing
Haborside Healthcare-Madisonville Rehabilitation

I work at one of the facilities listed and I can garrantee you that the residents safety and well being comes first. I agree with the directors at these facilities that they have been judged on prior state surveys not the most recent. This is so unfair. I have many choices of places to work and I still choose this one!!!
