Cruiser Hit By Car, Police Say Teenage Drunk Driver

A Lexington police officer is rushed to the hospital, after police say a drunk driver ran into his cruiser early Friday morning.

It happened at the intersection of Redding Road and Tates Creek Road.
Police say the officer bumped his head, and was taken to UK Hospital.
We're told the officer was responding to a call, when he approached the intersection with lights and sirens on.

Police arrested the driver of the other car, 18-year old Aubrey Wells is charged with DUI.
