Some Montgomery County middle school basketball players are facing criminal charges for hazing.

School authorities say several boys are facing assault charges for allegedly roughing up fellow students.

Police launched their investigation into possible hazing at McNabb Middle School last Wednesday after a concerned parent claimed her child fell victim to bullies who tried to sexually assault her son with a soda bottle.

School officials immediately suspended the basketball players for three games--but the young men will not be kicked off the team.

Debbie: If u consider carrying the water jug and equipment(which someone had to do) slavery, then you need to get out more. And I did not condone what happened here at all if you actually read what I posted. What these kids did was clearly some sort of abuse. The media just throws out the term "hazing" to freely and people include way to much into it.

Bullying is a Mt.Sterling tradition. This is not new,how many of you out there went to McNabb or MCHS and suffered at the hands of bullies while the school did nothing? Don't let them silence you anymore, tell your story.

So in Prestonsburg two kids go to jail for smoke bombs and these abusers get a 3 game suspension??? I don't get it. I'm so glad I don't live in Montgomery County!!
