A terrifying night for the people inside a house on Henry Court in Nicholasville, after a man who lives inside the house was attacked while his 8 year old daughter was in the home.
Police say the robber got inside the house through a side door. Once inside he demanded money from the people who live there. And when they told him they didn't have any he struck the homeowner in the head and back with an object that police say was possibly a stick or baton.
The victim's eight year old daughter was in the house, luckily she didn't wake up.
Police say they are looking into the possibility that the attacker knew his victims. This robbery is leaving neighbors worried.
The homeowner was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in Jessamine county where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
Police say the suspect took efforts "above and beyond" to conceal his identity, including a ski mask and possibly goggles over his face.
