"Tattle-tale" lights designed to catch red-light runners

You'll notice some changes along one of Lexington's busiest roads, just in time for the holidays.

New traffic signals have been installed at four intersections along Nicholasville Road, near Fayette Mall.

Each has a blue light on the back, which comes on when the signal switches to red.

That's designed to help police catch drivers running red lights.

The new signals are part of a $900,000 project designed to make Nicholasville Road safer, and less confusing.
