Bomb Scare Ends Safely at Lexington Community College

Some tense moments Tuesday night on the UK campus after a suspicious package is found.

Police say a student from the Bluegrass Community and Technical College them after seeing a package outside there building they thought might have been a bomb.

About a hundred students attending night school were quickly evacuated while police investigated.

We're told by police the package turned out to be a bag of potting soil.

UK Police Chief Joe Monroe says the call was due to increased awareness because of Monday's shootings in Virginia.

UK's Emergency Management Unit also responded to the scene.
