UK Outlines New Safety Measures

Video will be available shortly

UK president Lee Todd sent out a mass email message Wednesday, in an effort to let students and faculty know what they have done and what they are doing to keep everyone safe on campus.

The message points out the University's recent efforts to improve safety through additional lighting, landscaping, and police officers.

It also states they are investigating the possibility of using text messaging to individual cell phones and email addresses.

School officials say they're reviewing their plans on what to do if a shooting were to happen on campus.

Despite all their efforts, they say there is always room for improvement.
