Young Woman Killed In Crash Along I-75

Video will be available shortly

A tragic accident along Interstate 75 claimed the life of a woman and sent her boyfriend to the hospital with serious injuries.

Amber Rachford and Gary Cooper were coming home from a Cincinnati Reds game late Saturday night when their car crashed in Scott County.

Amber had recently moved back to Lexington, from Florida, to start a new life with her boyfriend and high school sweetheart Gary Cooper.
Police say 27-year-old Rachford likely died instantly, when the car she was riding in veered off the southbound lane of Interstate 75, just miles from their home. The car went into a ditch and struck a tree. Gary was air-lifted to UK Hospital with serious injuries. At last check he was in good condition.

Police are still investigating what caused the couple's car to go off the road.
