A Lexington cinema worker was robbed at gunpoint early Monday.
An employee from Carmike Cinemas on Mapleleaf Drive told police he was robbed while going to the nearby Central Bank branch to make the business' nightly deposit.
Police used search dogs to track the robber's scent to the Fountain Apartments, on Todds Road.
Once there, police believe the suspect got into a car and drove away.
Police say the man was wearing a ski mask with holes cut out for the eyes.
Investigators say the worker was likely targeted coming out of the cinema. Police say businesses should have two employees make the nightly deposits and to call them if there is any unusual activity during that time.
