Mother Not Charged For Leaving Kids In Car

A Mercer County teacher will not face charges for allegedly leaving her children in her car all day while she worked.

According to the Danville Advocate-Messenger, a grand jury decided not to indict Kristy Drakeford.

Police never filed charges against her, but prosecutors went ahead with the case anyway after a wanton-endangerment investigation.

Officials say the children, a two-year-old and a four-month-old, were in the car for more than six hours last month before a bus driver saw them.
