Just in time for the holidays for the first time, Lexington firefighters are releasing their own calendar.

Many of Lexington's finest firefighters have donated their time and images, to be included in the 2010 calendar.

The cost of the calendar is 15 dollars, and all proceeds will benefit the Firefighter Toy Program.

Calendars will be available at downtown fire stations, online and at the 'Moon Nightclub' in Lexington on December 3rd.

It is sad that anyone would have anything negative to say about something that was done for such a wonderful cause. Did you ever not get a present for Christmas? I'll bet you have no idea what that's like. The money raised provides toys for kids that probably wouldn't get anything for Christmas. Stop bumping your gums and fingers on the computer and do something constructive like this for a worthly cause. It was done in a tasteful manner that doesn't reflect badly on the guys or the dept. I wouldn't have participated in this effort if had been any other way. Stop bashing someone for doing something you only wish you could do or be. Everyone involved or that buys a calendar should be commended. How dare anyone question our morality or being anything but a positive influence. Thank goodness there are still people in this world than will go out on a climb for others, especially children.

I LOVE LOVE this calendar!! When do we balk on the fact that these calendars help within our community. These firefighters were not paid to do this. Nor do they make a dime off these calendars. All the money that is made from these great and tasteful calendars go to support theunderprivleged that are in need for the holidays. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE CALENDAR DON'T BUY IT. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO RESPOND TO THIS FEED GIVE MONEY TO THE COMMUNITY AND DO SOME GOOD.
