Man Convicted Of Murdering Kentucky Native Could Go Free

A former Missouri police officer in prison for killing a Kentucky college student will receive a new trial.
The Missouri Court of Appeals overturned Stephen Rios' conviction on Friday.
He's accused of killing 23-year old Jesse Valencia of Boyle County in 2004.
Valencia's body was found outside his apartment near the University of Missouri.
The appeals court says Rios received an unfair trial because the prosecution used two hearsay comments by the victim as part of their case.
