Print

A fire at a school in Rockcastle County will have a big impact on the rest of the school year.

Classes will be canceled for the rest of the week at Rockcastle County Middle School. Three students were caught on surveillance tape and arrested for starting the fire last Friday.

There are now health concerns about the damaged building so students will not be allowed in for the rest of the year.

School officials say all students should report to the high school on Monday. From then on, eighth grade students will go to class at the high school.

Sixth and seventh grade students will go to the elementary schools they attended or would have attended based on where they live in the school district, school officials said.
