National Alliance on Mental Illness Holds May Day Rally

The lack of public mental health care is under harsh light, after the massacre at Virginia Tech. The shooter was referred for counseling, but never went.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Tuesday night the Lexington chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, held their May Day rally, to raise awareness about the need for understanding and support.

"Tonight's gathering is about no more stigma. It's about stomping out the stereotypes and the negativity, so this is a May Day
rally," said Lisa Miller, a NAMI supporter.
