A young child has been accidentally shot and killed by her brother.
The Knox County coroner says 9-year-old Ambrea Dunn
died after suffering an accidental gunshot wound.
Her grandmother, Bonnie Dunn tells NEWSFIRST the four siblings were together in the home with their uncle when the 12-year old brother got into his father's gun case and took out a shotgun. A short time later, police say the gun went off hitting Ambrea as she watched television.
Dunn says the children's father had run to the store to pick up something as they were celebrating Thanksgiving early because he had to work on Thursday.
The little girl was rushed to the hospital where she died.
Dunn was a student with Barbourville City Schools.
Hopper Funeral Home in Barbourville is handling the funeral arrangements.
