Central Kentucky Man Struck By Lightning

A Jessamine County man is killed mowing his yard. The coroner says the man was struck by lightning!

It happened Wednesday afternoon as storms blew through the Bethel Road area, south of Nicholasville.

The coroner says 55-year-old Chuck Hibbs was on his riding lawn mower when he was struck. He was dead at the scene.

Experts say about seven people a year are killed in kentucky by lightning strikes.
