Wednesday kicks off one of the busiest travel times of the year.
AAA predicts some 33 million Americans will hit the nation's highways over the Thanksgiving holiday, which is up from last year.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Thanksgiving is the most dangerous holiday of the year for motorists. Last year fourteen people were killed on Kentucky roads during Thanksgiving travel.
Kentucky State Police say troopers will be out in force beginning at 6 p.m., cracking down on drunk drivers, speeders and drivers who aren't buckled up.
A little more than two million people are expected to travel by airplane this holiday.
