Police Investigate Attempted Sexual Assault

Lexington police are looking for a man who broke into a home and tried to rape a woman in broad daylight. The attack happened Friday afternoon at a home on Elm Tree lane.

Officials say the man broke into the 61 year old woman's home and tried to force himself on her. They say a friend of the victim stopped by the home during the attack and the suspect ran away.

Police say they are looking for a black man in his 40"s or 50's. They say he has black hair with some gray.

Police say they don't believe this attempted rape is connected to the break-ins and rapes that have happened near UK's Campus. They are still investigating.
