Deteriorating weather conditions could cause backups at major hubs across the country. This could mean longer lines at the Blue Grass Airport this evening.
The morning travel went smoothly at the Blue Grass Airport, but another influx of travelers are expected to spike up this evening. Travel conditions here in the bluegrass are ideal, but in places such as Chicago, low visibilities are causing long lines.
Brian Ellestad, Blue Grass Airport, says, "Depending on how each hub is affected will have an impact on everything."
Employees at the Blue Grass Airport advise you to call ahead to check on your flight status.
Every flight is expected to be full even though AAA is expecting a 6.7 percent decrease in air travelers this holiday.
