WKYT Exclusive: Behind The Scenes Of The Castle

Video will be available shortly

For decades the castle on Versailles Road near Keeneland sat empty and unused, sparking endless questions about how it got there in the first place.

A fire that destroyed much of the enormous structure in 2004 only focuses more attention on the castle and more questions. Would UK graduate and Miami attorney Thomas Post, who purchased the castle in 2003 ever rebuild it?

The answer is yes, and as new walls and framing go up inside, visitors can begin to imagine massive chandeliers, 30 foot ceilings, an elegant dining room, 16 unique guest suites and a ball room with a gigantic wood burning fireplace.

WKYT's exclusive look at the castle also reveals a rooftop recreation deck that eventually will include a bowling alley, a putting green, a jacuzzi, and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
