Triple Murder Investigation Continues In Eastern Kentucky

A gruesome discovery for Carter County firefighers when they found the bodies of a woman and two children inside a burning mobile home. Investigators now say the three were murdered and the home set on fire to conceal the crime. Officials say they have determined how the victims were killed, but are not ready to release the information.

The flames broke out just after four Wednesday morning at a home in the Grayson community of Carter County. Neighbors noticed the fire and called the fire department.

haven't released any identities, family members tell 27NEWSFIRST 31-year-old Jennifer Ison and her daughters, 10-year-old Shannah and 3-year-old Marissa, died in the mobile home.

Fire crews worked for several hours to put out hot spots.

Investigators say the fire was intentionally set. They have ruled homicide in the case, but have not said how the three were killed.

The bodies have been sent to Frankfort for autopsy. Medical examiners will use dental records to make positive identification.
