He's been called the "world's worst dad."
Now, a man accused of fleeing the country instead of helping his sick son is headed back to Kentucky.
A Louisville judge let Byron Perkins out of jail last year so he could donate a kidney to his teenage son. Instead, Perkins disappeared.
U.S. Marshals found him last month in Mexico with his girlfriend.
Now, according to a Louisville TV station, Perkins will be flown from Los Angeles to Lexington on Friday to face federal charges.
Perkins' son received a kidney from another donor last summer and is doing well.
